You can turn $50 billion into $250 billion on A Three NASCAR races parlay This weekend in Indianapolis.
Well, you’re not going to make $250 billion. The simulation won’t hit. But it sure is fun to dream about.
Since all three NASCAR Series are in Indianapolis this weekend, we played at BetMGM with some of the race winners showing off earlier in the week. We took the longest picks to win every race, snatched Spencer Boyd in Friday Night Truck Race (+100,000), Bailey Currie in Saturday’s Xfinity Series race (+250,000) and Cody Ware in Sunday’s Cup Series race (+200,000) and simulated a $50 bet.
The combined odds for this premium are a staggering +500,950,55000, which means that the potential return on the bet will be more than $250,475,000,000. This puts this weekend’s $1 billion jackpot in disgrace. Even $1 will earn you more than $5 billion.
Here’s the photo proof of the crazy push. We’re not sure how BetMGM paid for that.
Of course, you will probably have a better chance of winning the Mega Millions jackpot than you would the chance of winning this bonus. Betting on NASCAR is a tricky one when it comes to long shots. The equipment variance between teams across the field is great. All three of those drivers in backmarker gear wouldn’t come close to inhaling bullets.
BetMGM and other sports books understand this. That’s why their odds are so long. The book knows he will never pay $250 billion. And if that bet comes close to becoming a reality, writers will know something is going on.
While we can safely guarantee that you won’t win $250 billion betting on NASCAR this weekend, you should have some fun with this weekend’s Winners Show. Betting on all three race favorites (Zane Smith at +400 in Trucks, Chase Briscoe at +350 in Xfinity and Chase Elliott at +450 in Cup) would make over $600 on a $5 bet and a fairly realistic bet of 5 Dollars for Ben Rhodes, Justin Algaer and Kyle Busch’s victory in all three races will return more than $30,000.
It’s not in the billions, but it’s not a bad weekend bonus for a small bet.
Big running lines in MLB Friday night
Three games on the Friday night MLB slate have 2.5 running streaks. The Yankees are a 2.5-time home favorite over the Royals, the Blue Jays are a 2.5-time favorite over the Tigers and the Dodgers are a 2.5-time favorite over the Rockies.
All three of these lines are beautiful, too. The Dodgers are -105 to win three or more runs on the road while the Yankees are -110 to cover that spread.
The biggest weekend series in MLB features the Mariners and Astros. Houston now has 11 games ahead of the Mariners at El West, so the division is largely closed. But the Mariners are the Blue Jays’ return for the best wild card and the Astros are two games behind the Yankees for the top seed in the L.A.
Can Tony Finaw turn back?
Tony Finau fired 8-under 64 to take the lead after the first round of the Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit on Thursday. Finau won the 3M Open a week ago and is now +333 to win this weekend after his excellent first round. Taylor Pendrith is the No. 2 favorite at +800 while Webb Simpson is at +1400 for the win.
Who cashed the bets on Thursday night?
Aaron Judge hit Homer in the Yankee’s 1-0 win over the Royals on Thursday night as he was no more in danger in the Bronx. The Astros beat the Mariners 4-2 and the Red Sox beat the Guardian with the same score. The Dodgers obliterated the Rockies and beat themselves up with a 13-0 victory.
