Why was that?

Well, Bosch took a good hit during his qualifying wreck, which left him with some concussions that didn’t heal properly in time. Following protocol in these situations, NASCAR has decided that he cannot participate in the race.

This certainly surprised some fans, but what surprised them the most was Busch’s alternate driver. The driver from inside the Joe Gibbs Racing canopy, Ty Gibbs.

Now, ideally, Gibbs’ exchange for Busch should have excited most fans given how talented he is, and how he’s been leading so far this season.

But that wasn’t how fans reacted because they felt Gibbs wasn’t an expert, ready or simply deserving enough of a seat in a Cup car yet.
